On October 13, 2026 the brand's 4-pair packs cost $3.24 to $6.25 a pair, and the $12.97 women's 4-pack cost less per pair than any Mi Socks pack. Mi Socks run $5.42 to $9.99 a pair and add non-binding knee highs, prints and cotton.

What are Doctor's Choice diabetic socks?
Doctor's Choice diabetic socks are non-binding, fully cushioned socks from a brand sold mainly on Amazon, where IQ Brands Inc. is the seller and listed manufacturer. On Amazon since January 2019, the brand's men's crew ranked second in the site's Diabetic Socks & Insoles category on October 13, 2026. If you searched for "Dr. Choice" diabetic socks, this is the brand.
The line comes in 4-pair packs: crew, quarter and ankle socks for men, and crew and quarter socks for women. The brand describes the same build for each:
- An "easy stretch, non-binding top" with an extra-wide cuff
- A hand-tied toe it calls "true seamless"
- "360º thick cushioning"
- A polyester and spandex blend it calls "100% Cotton Free"
It also sells a men's non-slip crew with grip soles and a separate line of compression socks. Despite the name, its About page credits the designs to a team of "designers, engineers, and sock experts."
How much do Doctor's Choice diabetic socks cost per pair?
Doctor's Choice 4-pair packs cost $3.24 to $6.25 a pair in our October 13, 2026 check, and the 3-pair non-slip crew cost $6.66 a pair.
| Sock (where sold) | Pairs | Price | Per pair | Shipping (posted terms) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Doctor's Choice women's crew or quarter (Walmart; some colors on Amazon) | 4 | $12.97 for most colors | $3.24 | Walmart's terms; pickup varies by store |
| Doctor's Choice men's crew, Large or X-Large (Amazon) | 4 | $21.99 | $5.50 | Free over $35 shipped by Amazon, or with Prime |
| Doctor's Choice men's non-slip crew (Amazon) | 3 | $19.99 | $6.66 | Same as above |
| Any Doctor's Choice diabetic 4-pack (doctorschoice.com) | 4 | $24.99 | $6.25 | Its buy buttons go to Amazon |
| Mi Socks 12-pack, crew or knee high | 12 | $64.99 crew, $67.99 knee high | $5.42 crew, $5.67 knee high | Free ($19 and up) |
| Mi Socks 6-pack | 6 | $35.99 crew, $36.99 knee high | $6.00 crew, $6.17 knee high | Free ($19 and up) |
| Mi Socks 3-pack | 3 | $21.99 crew, $22.99 knee high | $7.33 crew, $7.66 knee high | Free ($19 and up) |
| Mi Socks single pair | 1 | $9.99 | $9.99 | $4.95 |
The women's 4-pack is the bargain: $3.24 a pair is less than any Mi Socks pack, including our 12-pack at $5.42. For men's crew it is close: $5.50 a pair on Amazon is more than our crew 12-pack ($5.42) but less than our 6-pack ($6.00). Twelve pairs cost $38.91 in Doctor's Choice women's packs, $64.99 in a Mi Socks crew 12-pack and $65.97 in Doctor's Choice men's crew packs.
On a small order, shipping matters: a single $12.97 pack doesn't ship free on Amazon without Prime, while every Mi Socks pack ships free. For more brands, see our diabetic sock price guide and our MediPeds diabetic socks comparison.
Doctor's Choice vs Mi Socks: how do they compare?

|---|---|---|
| Top band | Easy-stretch, non-binding top with an extra-wide cuff | Non-binding, loose-knit top band |
| Toe | Hand-tied toe the brand calls seamless | Smooth flat toe seam |
| Sole | Full cushion | Terry-cushioned sole |
| Fiber | 94% polyester, 4% rubber, 2% spandex; no cotton | 80% cotton, 13% polyester, 5% rubber, 2% spandex |
| Extras the brand lists | Moisture-wicking yarns and odor control | None |
| Lengths | Crew and quarter, plus ankle for men | Crew and knee high; knee high packs cost $1 to $3 more |
| Colors | Solid colors only, with more shades for women | Black, white and marble grey, plus stars, stripes and polka-dot prints |
| Grip soles | On a 3-pair men's non-slip crew | None |
| Price per pair | $3.24 to $6.25 | $5.42 to $9.99 |
Both brands size by US shoe size:
| Sock size | Doctor's Choice | Mi Socks |
|---|---|---|
| Medium (M) | Women's 6 to 10, men's 6 to 8 | Women's 5 to 9, men's 6 to 8 |
| Large (L) | Women's 10 to 13, men's 8 to 12 | Women's 10 to 13, men's 9 to 12 |
| X-Large (XL) | Men's 12 to 15; no women's XL | Women's 14 and up, men's 13 and up |
Doctor's Choice makes its men's crew only in Large and X-Large and its women's styles only in Medium and Large. Between sizes in Mi Socks? Size up (see our sock size chart).
What are Doctor's Choice diabetic socks made of?
Mostly polyester. The men's crew on Amazon and the women's crew on Walmart list 94% polyester, 4% rubber and 2% spandex; the women's quarter on Amazon lists 96% polyester, 2% rubber and 2% spandex. Mi Socks are the opposite: 80% cotton.
The American Diabetes Association (ADA) suggests socks "made of a synthetic fabric or wool to wick away moisture," because extra moisture can lead to skin breakdown and infections. Polyester is a synthetic, so Doctor's Choice is the closer match, which counts if your feet sweat a lot. Cotton feels soft and breathes, and some people prefer it. Either way, MedlinePlus advises clean, dry socks every day, so change pairs if yours get damp. Our guide to cotton vs synthetic diabetic socks goes deeper.
Does Doctor's Choice make knee high diabetic socks?
Not in its non-binding diabetic line, which stops at crew length. In our October 13, 2026 check, every taller Doctor's Choice sock we found was a compression sock, a different kind of sock to wear only if your doctor advises it: over-the-calf graduated compression socks at 10 to 20 mmHg ($9.97 on Amazon and $10.47 at Walmart for a single pack) and men's knee-high sleeping socks with light compression at 8 to 15 mmHg on Amazon.
The ADA says to ask your provider about compression socks or stockings if you have vein problems such as varicose veins, swelling in your leg or foot, a history of a blood clot in a deep vein, or if you walk or stand a lot.
If you want a knee high that doesn't squeeze, Mi Socks make one with the same top, toe and cushioned sole as our crew, for $1 to $3 more per pack. The Mi Socks knee high 6-pack works out to $6.17 a pair.
Where can you buy Doctor's Choice diabetic socks?
Mainly on Amazon and at Walmart. On October 13, 2026:
- Amazon had the widest range, sold by IQ Brands Inc. and shipped by Amazon.
- Walmart.com sold the women's 4-packs itself, with store pickup depending on your local store. A Walmart.com search for the men's socks showed only a women's pack, so men's sizes were easier to find on Amazon.
- The brand's own site, doctorschoice.com, listed four diabetic styles at $24.99 a pack, but its "Buy on Amazon" buttons send you to Amazon to check out.
Both stores also carry Dr. Scholl's, at $2.16 a pair in a $12.98 Walmart 6-pack; see our Dr. Scholl's diabetic socks comparison. For drugstores and other stores, see our guide on where to buy diabetic socks.
Which should you pick, Doctor's Choice or Mi Socks?
Doctor's Choice wins on the lowest price per pair, synthetic fabric and short lengths; Mi Socks win on non-binding knee highs, prints, cotton and, in our 12-pack, men's crew price per pair.
| If you want | Better pick | Why |
|---|---|---|
| The lowest price per pair | Doctor's Choice women's 4-pack | $3.24 a pair, versus $5.42 for our 12-pack |
| A synthetic sock for feet that sweat | Doctor's Choice | Polyester, the closer match to the ADA's fabric advice |
| Ankle or quarter length | Doctor's Choice | We make crew and knee high only |
| Grip soles for smooth floors | Doctor's Choice non-slip crew | Mi Socks have no grips |
| Men's crew socks for less per pair | Mi Socks crew 12-pack | $5.42 a pair, versus $5.50 on Amazon |
| A non-binding knee high | Mi Socks | Doctor's Choice sells only compression knee highs |
| Prints | Mi Socks | Stars, stripes and polka dots, versus solid colors |
| The feel of cotton | Mi Socks | 80% cotton, versus none |
| Women's shoe size 14 or larger | Mi Socks XL | Our XL lists women's 14 and up; Doctor's Choice women's styles stop at 13, and its XL is a men's crew |
| Free shipping on a small order | Mi Socks | Free from $19, versus $35 on Amazon without Prime |
If Doctor's Choice fits your feet and budget, there's no reason to switch.
Mi Socks are non-binding comfort socks in crew and knee high, with a loose-knit top band that stays up without squeezing, a smooth flat toe seam, a terry-cushioned sole and a breathable cotton-rich blend. They are not compression socks, and they are Imported. A single pair costs $9.99 in either length, and knee high packs cost $1 to $3 more than crew. US shipping is free on orders $19 and up (a single pair ships for $4.95), and you can request a return of unworn pairs within 15 days of delivery. The Mi Socks crew 6-pack covers most of a week between laundry days. Shopping for a man? Browse our diabetic socks for men or our men's diabetic sock comparison.
Frequently asked questions
Are Doctor's Choice diabetic socks good for neuropathy?
They have the features the ADA and NIDDK describe: a top that isn't tight, a smooth toe and some padding. But socks don't treat nerve damage. A 2026 systematic review that also looked at 17 diabetic socks on sale (Doctor's Choice wasn't one of them) called the evidence on diabetic socks "limited" and found that socks advertising new types of fiber had no trial evidence behind those claims. The CDC says about half of all people with diabetes have some kind of nerve damage and advises checking your feet every day, even if they feel fine. If a cut, blister or bruise doesn't start to heal after a few days, NIDDK says to call your health care provider right away.
Do Doctor's Choice diabetic socks squeeze your legs?
The diabetic socks aren't meant to; the brand describes a non-binding top. Its compression socks, including the over-the-calf and knee-high sleeping styles, do squeeze, on purpose. NIDDK advises, "Do not wear tight socks or elastic stockings," so wear compression only if your doctor recommends it. Mi Socks are non-compression in every style.
Is Doctor's Choice the same as Physicians Choice or Doctor's Select?
No. They are separate brands with similar names that all sell diabetic socks on Amazon, where Doctor's Choice is sold by IQ Brands Inc. Check the seller line before you order.
Can you put Doctor's Choice socks in the dryer?
Yes. Its care chart says to machine wash cold with like colors, use only non-chlorine bleach when needed and tumble dry low. Mi Socks' care line differs: machine wash cold on gentle and hang dry, with no bleach or fabric softener. NIDDK also says to choose "clean, lightly padded socks that fit well."
Will insurance pay for Doctor's Choice diabetic socks?
Don't count on it. Medicare.gov says Part B covers therapeutic shoes and inserts for people with diabetes and severe diabetes-related foot disease, and its page on that benefit doesn't list socks. Ask your plan about its own rules.
