Mi Socks Reviews Policy
In short: Mi Socks only publishes reviews from people who bought socks from our store, and we match each one to a real order. Low ratings go up the same way as high ones, under one set of rules. We never pay for good reviews, edit what a reviewer wrote, or copy reviews from other websites.
A note on timing: This policy started in October 2026, and we are moving our store to a new review system that follows it. While that switch finishes, some product pages may still show reviews from our old review app. We are removing every review we can't match to an order placed with our store.
Our review rules at a glance
- Buyers only. Each review is matched to a real order placed with our store.
- Every rating counts. Low ratings and high ratings go up the same way.
- One set of rules. The reasons we might leave a review out are the same whatever its rating.
- No paid praise. We never pay for reviews or reward anyone for saying something nice.
- Your words stay yours. We never edit a reviewer's words or change their star rating. We only change a review when the person who wrote it asks us to.
- Nothing borrowed. We don't copy reviews from other websites, marketplaces or sellers.
- No insiders. People who work with Mi Socks, and their families, don't review our socks.
- Five before showing. Our product pages show reviews and a star rating once at least five buyers have reviewed.
Who can leave a review?
Anyone who bought Mi Socks from our store. After your order arrives, we may email you to ask how your socks are working out. When we ask, we ask every customer, not only the ones we expect to be happy. Each email has a link you can use to stop future requests.
We check every review against our order records before it goes live. If we can't match a review to a real order, we don't publish it. That way you know each reviewer actually bought our socks.
What we publish, and what we leave out
We publish every genuine review about our socks, whatever the rating. A low rating stays up just like a high one. If your review mentions a problem with your order, we'll get in touch to help, and your review stays up either way.
We leave out a review, positive or negative, only if it:
- has nothing to do with Mi Socks, our store or your order, for example a review of a different product or company
- includes another person's private details, like a phone number, email or home address, or their photo
- is abusive, harassing, threatening, vulgar or sexually explicit
- attacks people for their race, gender, religion, sexuality, disability or a similar trait
- is spam, or an ad for another product or business
- is one we have good reason to believe is fake
We apply these rules the same way to every review. If a review is left out, it's for one of these reasons, never because of its stars. We don't hold low ratings back for extra checks, either. Every review goes through the same check.
Why all Mi Socks products share one set of reviews
Our crew and knee-high socks are made from the same cotton-rich blend, in the same colors and sizes. The main difference is length. The single pair, 3-pack, 6-pack and 12-pack are the same socks in different quantities.
So every Mi Socks product page shows the same set of reviews. A review of a 6-pack of crew socks also appears on the single-pair knee-high page, and the other way around. The reviews section on each product page says this, so you always know what you're reading.
We never attach reviews of one product to a different kind of product. In a 2023 case, the Federal Trade Commission noted that Amazon lets sellers group products that "differ only in narrow, specific ways" such as color, size or quantity, and it charged a supplement company that attached ratings from different, established products to its new ones. We group only one sock: the same design in two lengths, several colors and four pack sizes.
Thank-yous, free socks and connections to us
We don't pay for reviews, and we never offer anything in return for a good one. If we ever offer a small thank-you for leaving a review, everyone who leaves an honest review will get it, whatever their rating. We'll say so on this page and label those reviews, so you know.
If an order was sent at no charge, for example as a sample, any review from that order will say the socks were free.
How reviews are shown
- Reviews and star ratings. Our product pages show reviews and an average star rating once at least five buyers have reviewed. We'd rather wait than show a rating built on one or two opinions. Until then we keep every review, and they all appear together when the fifth one arrives. When a rating shows, it's the average of every published review.
- Our replies. We may reply under a review, for example to help sort out an order. We'll never pressure anyone to change or remove an honest review.
- Ads and emails. We won't use your review, your name or your photos in an ad or email without asking you first.
- Outside our site. If our star rating shows up somewhere else, such as in search results or a shopping app, it comes from these same buyer reviews and nothing else.
Reviews aren't medical advice
A review shares one person's experience with our socks. It isn't medical advice, and it isn't a claim we make about what our socks do. Mi Socks are non-compression comfort socks for everyday wear. They are not a medical device and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. If you have diabetes, neuropathy, poor circulation, or a foot wound, check your feet every day and follow your doctor's or podiatrist's advice.
If you notice a cut, blister, sore, redness, new swelling or pain in your feet or legs, call your doctor or podiatrist. Don't wait to see what other buyers say. Our medical information page explains when to get help.
Questions about our reviews
Are Mi Socks reviews real?
Yes. Under this policy, every review we publish comes from a person who placed an order with our store, and we check each one against that order before it goes live. We don't buy reviews, write our own, or bring them in from other websites.
Why don't I see reviews on a product page?
We only publish reviews from people who bought from our store, and our product pages wait until at least five buyers have reviewed before showing them. In the meantime, our Mi Socks facts page lists what the socks are made of and how they're built, and our sock size chart helps you pick a size.
Do you delete bad reviews?
No. A negative review goes up just like a positive one. We only leave out reviews that break the rules above, and those rules are the same for every rating. If something went wrong with your order, we'd much rather fix it than hide it.
Can I review socks I didn't buy from you?
No. We can only publish reviews we can match to an order with our store. That's how we confirm every reviewer is a real buyer. If you have a question about our socks before you buy, you're welcome to contact us.
How do I change or remove my review?
Contact us using the email address on your order and tell us what you'd like changed. We'll update your review or take it down, whichever you prefer.
What if I think a review is fake?
Tell us through our contact page, with the reviewer's name and the date shown on the review. We'll check it against our orders and take it down if it doesn't follow these rules.
Why we run reviews this way
Reviews only help if you can trust them. Since October 21, 2024, a Federal Trade Commission rule has banned fake reviews, rewards for reviews that must say something good or bad, undisclosed reviews from company insiders, and hiding negative reviews while making it look as if every review is shown.
The FTC's guidance on endorsements adds that asking only the customers you expect to be happy "would be misleading if it substantially skews the favorability of the reviews," that holding back only negative reviews gives a misleading picture, and that reviewers who got something free should be disclosed.
Google's guidelines for review stars in search results say not to pull in reviews or ratings from other websites. We follow these rules, and in a few places we go further: we only publish reviews from buyers, we don't allow insider reviews at all, we wait for five reviews before showing them, and we ask before using anyone's review in an ad.
